Aaron Charles

On Friday May 16, 2014 we welcomed our son Aaron Charles. God is very gracious, we are so thankful for His many blessings.

He weighed in at 7lb. 11oz, 20 in.  ....our smallest baby yet!

It is difficult to put into words the emotion I feel during those first few moments after my baby is born and I get to hold him close for the first time.  Living and growing inside of my body for over 9 months....feeling kicks and heartburn....and then the day arrives when we get to meet.

My beloved husband and best friend. I could not imagine bringing our six babies into this world without him right by my side.

We immediately called our other kids at home to tell them that they now had a new baby brother.  (The hardest part for me when I have baby is that I miss my kids terribly while in the hospital)  The first thing Noah asked was, "Is he chubby?"  My kids have this thing about chubby babies.

The amazing moment when I get to experience Daddy holding his newest son for the very first time.  It is so neat to think back to when we first started dating at age 16...almost 20 yrs. ago, and here we are now.

Mary Lee, our pastor's wife & Dawn, two of my dear friends were with us during labor and the birth.  God has blessed us with a family away from family.  It was wonderful to have them there for encouragement.....their prayers and reading of Scripture were a vital part to the whole birthing process....oh and the foot massages were awesome too!

Here is the crew together for the first time....this photo makes me smile every time.

When I was taking these photos of Adam with Aaron, I was thinking...."my baby is holding my baby."

Here is Noah who I like to call, "big brother baby hogger".....the name should explain it all.

Nate loves, loves, loves his baby brother. He likes to smell his breath, he says he loves how it smells. When I ask him what it smells like he says, "it smells like baby."  Oddly enough, I totally know what he means.

And little Miss Lauren with yet another brother....who she absolutely adores.

Luke and Adam, a couple of goof balls.

Adam and Aaron are almost exactly 19 mos. apart. It is super cute to see them together, although Adam is in that I love you so much I like to poke your eye and stick my finger in your mouth stage of life right now.  So it is a rule in our house never to leave Adam alone with the baby.

And yes Aaron looks like a little Cochran....a bit of a hybrid of all of the others, depending on his expressions.

With each baby they have less and less hair.....good thing that I have a special place in my heart for bald men!
